Let us first explain you why we have ceated this website, it became clear the last years that we here in the Netherlands where a bit behind in training our firefighters in fire behaviour, reading smoke, ventilation you name it. In order to close this gap and bringing the firefighters to a level that is simular to other countries this website was born.

With 3 very enthousiastic firefighters / trainers we took the initiative for this website were you can find all kinds of information regarding compartment fire behaviour training and also you will find the trainers for the job.
We see this as our mission / task to train firefighters to a level that they can operate with confidence, well skilled  and safely attack fires in compartments, knowing what they can and mabye most important can NOT within a compartment fire.

There are already to much fellow firefighters injured or even died during firefighting actions and with the information givin on this website we want to contribute in supplying important information about all aspects of compartment fire behavior.

We also have a Evaluation section on our site which we want to use for evaluating fires, pleople can send us their story on a fire with foto’s and/or film and the three of us will comment on the questions you have. All this to help firefighters to better understand and learn from their previous experiences, there’s no way that we can change the facts but let us at least learn from it. In this way we also want to connect firefigthers with fellow firefighters to talk about these subjects and all have our lessons learned.

Furthermore we want you to know that when you would be in need for proffesionall help in training your firefighters, you are at the correct adress. Our goall is to train these firefighters not just how to do it but also most important WHY you do it. Teach them all the technics and tactics of compartment fire behaviour and to safelly fight a fire.

All information on our website is collected from presentations, reports ea written by Shan Raffel, Paul Grimwood, Ed Hartin, John McDonough, Koen Desmet.
